About Clare Sole
I am a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist and accredited with BACP. (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)
My training and practice is an integrative and relational approach to counselling and psychotherapy. Integrative therapy is a combined approach to psychotherapy that brings together different elements of specific therapies. Since everyone is different, no single approach can treat clients in all situations. Specific needs should be considered as a whole and counselling techniques tailored to individual needs.
Integrative counselling aims to promote healing and facilitate wholeness to maximise the individual’s potential mental, physical and emotional health. Clients are encouraged to commit to self-exploration and open to identifying the factors in their life that are perpetuating problems and/or are causing concerns.
I believe exploring the relationship between us is an important part of our therapy as a means to support you to explore challenges you may be experiencing. Together we will attend to those aspects of yourself that might be struggling with negative emotions and difficult circumstances. You will be supported to identify and question unhelpful beliefs or outdated views about yourself and the world and to consolidate your skills and abilities to work more effectively towards your life goals.
I operate an equal opportunity policy and do not discriminate against individuals on the basis of age, marital status, physical disability, gender, sexual orientation, race, social origins, political or religious beliefs.
If you think I may be able to help, or you have some questions, please contact me. There is no need for a referral; contact and sessions are all held in strictest confidence, and you are under no obligations to proceed.
I am fully aware of how taking the first step to come to therapy can be a daunting prospect, sharing personal thoughts and feelings with someone you know very little about. I offer my clients safety and confidentiality. I believe the quality of the relationship between client and therapist will have the greatest impact on how effective the therapy will be.
