“I can’t thank Clare enough for the positive impact she has had in my life.
I didn’t know what it was I needed to help me with my rage and angry outbursts until i discovered therapy.
Therapy with Clare taught me to accept that feeling vulnerable wasn’t a weakness and that i was masking other emotions with rage.
Clare always allowed me to feel safe and heard. To be able to trust her with my truth, has allowed me to grow as a person. The ability she has to listen, understand, and challenge when required is incredible.
I would recommend Clare to anyone feeling lost, in need of support or guidance.”

“Having therapy with Clare was a huge leap of faith for me, as I had always been very wary and slightly cynical of therapists. However, Clare has been a huge help to me and has had a significant impact on improving the quality of relationships with my family. Clare is excellent at providing perspective and insights – but I am more impressed at how she does this. Always compassionate and non-judgmental, Clare also has great intuition, enabling her to ask the most powerful of questions to help me understand the issues affecting me. I am extremely grateful to Clare for all her support and kindness at some very difficult times in my life. ”

I am so grateful for your honest and forthright manner, right from the beginning of our therapeutic relationship. Your goal as I understood was focused on helping me through, coming out of treatment and being able to trust myself again, to be OK on my own. To encourage me to be truthful and honest, always throwing it back to me and not allowing me to rely on you. You weren’t judgmental when I shared with you the things I felt alot of shame for, and to be honest I couldn’t imagine being able to share it with anyone. The way you set boundaries Clare was so vital in helping me find a way through tricky relationships. I think the part of therapy with you that I found so unique and refreshing was your encouragement of me, taking responsibility for me. You are kind, caring and understanding whilst also being firm, truthful and pragmatic. I truly feel you helped me have closure on an important part of my life.
I am lucky that I had the chance to work with a therapist who puts such a perfect dose of heart and professionalism into her work.

“Clare has had such a meaningful, positive impact on my life. Through her unconditionally warm and supportive presence, she created a very safe space for me to explore and tackle some of my most personal, most challenging issues and insecurities. She helped me learn to be accountable to myself, to be honest with myself and those around me, and to truly value and care for myself. I credit our work together for fully transforming my difficult relationship with my Mum and setting me on a path to feeling so much more confident, empowered and proud of who I am and who I am becoming. I am so grateful to her for so much.”

“Clare has been one of the best therapists that I have seen so far. She has supported me in times where I needed help the most. She is especially good in getting your emotions out that may have been there since your childhood. She is a very skilled, non-judgemental and helps you to find solutions to your struggles.”

“I started working with Clare not knowing what to expect, but I knew I felt sad, regularly out of control of my own life, and that I wanted to find some help. I now have a much greater understanding of myself, and I am so much more settled and happy in my own skin. Every element of my life was discussed and shared with such care and always at my pace. Clare’s kindness and intelligence meant that I could really trust her from the beginning, opening up to explore everything from disordered eating to gaining confidence in my work. Over the time working with her I’ve discovered so much about myself and feel happier, healthier, and ready to take on life’s challenges.”

“I spent a long time looking for the right therapist but as soon as I had my initial conversation with Clare I knew she was a good fit for me. She made me feel instantly at ease and I felt she understood me which was really important. Clare is an excellent therapist, she’s very knowledgeable and professional, and is extremely easy to talk to, she really provides a safe space to open up in. I especially liked Clare’s integrative approach as I felt like she tailored the therapy to suit me as an individual. I feel so thankful that I found Clare as she really helped me improve the relationship I have with myself and she has given me lots of tools that I can use everyday to look after my mental health. I would highly recommend therapy with Clare.”

“I have fought a long hard battle with addiction for many years and last year I went into recovery using the rooms of Alcoholics Annonymous and Cocaine Annonymous. I first got 88 days sober and then relapsed and had decided I needed the extra help iof a councillor which was Clare. I believe the one-on-one sessions with Clare have been a fundamental part of my recovery, coupled with my fellowship which I attend. Clare has given me different techniques to help with my anxiety and depression which I have brought into my every day routine to ensure I can deal with it when it crops up. I have also been able to talk to Clare about day to day struggles of mine which normally I would not be able to speak to anyone about. Her calming influence has enabled me to speak openly and honestly with her and together we have come to a solution in how to make me feel better and deal with certain aspects of my life. I am now 8 months sober and I am genuinely so thankful for all the sessions I have had with Clare as I believe it has been life changing for me. Today I have my life back – I have a good relationship with my family, I am in a happy relationship, I am a good employee and most important I am happy. I will continue to see Clare on an adhoc basis.”

“I decided to have therapy after a couple of difficult relationships and some struggles during my childhood, which had left me confused about my identity. When I first started seeing Clare I didn’t really know who I was, what I did or didn’t like, and I really struggled to trust myself. I was always stressed, particularly at work, and oscillated between being very controlling and feeling very passive and “weak” – I saw these as two separate sides of me, and had relegated my past experiences to the “weaker version” of me. Clare helped me to accept my experiences and understand that although I have changed, as I’ve got older, both the younger and current version of me form part of the ‘whole me’. She also helped me to live more in the moment and learn to let go of trying to control everything, particularly other people’s reactions, which has left me feeling much freer and more open to change.
I have seen Clare for just under a year – weekly at first and gradually less frequently for the past 4 months or so. Both I, and my partner, have noticed a big difference during this time and I feel like I have sort of become unstuck from the rut I’d been in since my teenage years (I’m in my mid thirties now).
I’d definitely recommend seeing Clare if you’re struggling with understanding who you are and/or have issues with control. From my experience, I believe that the investment is worth it as it has potential to change the rest of your life. “

“I worked with Clare for just over two years. I’d spent a significant amount of time in therapy prior to this point, and whilst I had made progress in that time, my progress accelerated significantly whilst working with Clare. She was the first person to introduce the word ‘trauma’ into my therapy, we added workshops into my treatment plan, and we maintained an open dialogue throughout our sessions. Clare created a space where I was able to both process the ‘day to day’ whilst also being able to dig deeper into the underlying experiences and resultant core beliefs that were driving my negative coping behaviours.
My work with Clare, and the manner in which she challenged me, ultimately led me to fully commit to getting well and going into residential treatment for three months. Clare, through a combination of her clinical experience and the fact that she always had my best interests at heart, supported me as I found the treatment centre that was right for me, and she helped me go there with a mindset that would set me up for success. There is no way I would have been able to even begin looking at some of the things I needed to had Clare not provided me with her crucial insights, and the opportunities to explore things via workshops.
I will always be grateful for the work Clare and I did together, and the manner in which it was done.”

“The year that I worked with Clare helped me to make major changes to my life script. Clare helped me identify patterns in my behaviour that were destructive to my wellbeing. Through our sessions I began to understand where these patterns came from and how they had developed over the years, causing problems in my closest relationships. This understanding allowed me deal with my feelings of shame and guilt, helping me to free myself from negative, childish behaviours and dynamics. Clare supported me to in feeling my vulnerability and survive it, rather than shutting it down. The work we did together has given me a new lightness of being and has sparked my creativity. “

“I found Clare to be highly professional, knowledgable and trustworthy from our first meeting. She provided a safe space for me to share my experiences and feelings, which I felt I could trust her with. After a single session I felt lighter and more clear-headed than I had in years. After approximately six months of weekly sessions, I was able to process and understand my feelings and actions much more clearly, as well as better understand those of the people around me. I ended my sessions with Clare much happier and with healthier relationships. It is no exaggeration to say that she has had a huge impact on my life. I am extremely grateful and would highly recommend her. “

“After the loss of my young brother I started to have therapy with Clare to help me manage the game changing rime of my life.
Initially the therapy was a shock to the fabric of my character being in control at all times. Clare was able to help me think outside the box and the world I had learned to live in.
Opening up your inner feelings and almost naked with your thoughts with no limits or boundaries , Clare was able to build trust between us that I have never been able to share so easily with in the beginning was a stranger.
I surprisingly found therapy more than a quick fix crutch but a structure to move forward and onwards and upwards. Clare was open with me and we communicated honestly with respect and total confidentiality. “

“When I first contacted Clare with a view to starting therapy, I had quite a fixed idea of what it was I needed help with. Even during our initial conversation, Clare encouraged me to look beyond this to what was underpinning the negative and limiting patterns of behaviour that I wanted to change. I was attracted to working with Clare because she talked about dealing with the root of the problem, rather than just continuing to treat symptoms.
I’ve now been working with Clare for almost a year and a half, and I feel like I have made genuine progress during this time. Clare has helped me to identify and learn to let go of outdated beliefs and storylines that are no longer aligned with who I am today. She has offered me a different perspective to problems and situations as they’ve arisen, which has allowed me to open my mind to solutions that I wouldn’t have considered before. And most importantly, therapy with Clare has enabled me to cultivate a stronger sense of self worth, and I’m learning to trust myself again.”

“I have always been very wary even sceptical of the value of using services such as those offered by Clare. However, it was apparent even from the first session that my concerns were misplaced as Clare has helped me greatly with her immense insight and powerful observations. Clare is always very professional but also exudes warmth and compassion in her approach. She always takes a deep interest in what I have to say but is also totally non-judgemental. Her astuteness is always apparent, enabling me to learn something new about myself every session. I am very grateful for Clare’s help as it has helped me resolve so many issues; helping me to improve my well-being and relationships with those I love. Thank you!”

“I first came to Therapy with Clare, having struggled with addiction and an active eating disorder for 10 years. I had tried a wide range of therapies before, with nearly a dozen different specialists, but hadn’t managed to find or maintain any level of recovery. I thought I knew everything I needed to about my past, my childhood, and what lead to the problems I was having as an adult. I had just finished an impatient treatment course at a rehab facility which gave me a period of sobriety for the first time, but I was in a vulnerable position when our sessions started. In our early sessions, Clare was immediately able to immediately sense when I needed challenging, and when I needed a gentler hand, moving seamlessly between the two whilst ensuring I always felt safe. We have explored very complex areas of my past, which Clare has empowered me to do so fearlessly, allowing me address my behaviours in the present and remove destructive patterns in order to live with peace, serenity, and to truly enjoy life.
Alongside talking therapy, we have also been doing breathwork. I was a complete beginner, and had been sceptical of meditation in the past. However, since Clare introduced it into our sessions, it has become a revelation, allowing me to feel truly connected with my mind, body and spirit for the first time in my life. Through this new connection with my body, I have been able to understand parts of my past, my personality and the many blockages I had put in place to prevent myself feeling certain things. Clare once described the process as “thawing out”, which feels like an extremely accurate way to describe the impact breathwork alongside therapy is having. I had spent my whole life deliberately suppressing the flow of energy as a way of protecting myself from emotions like fear, sadness, anxiety and more. Breathwork has allowed me to redirect the flow of energy in my body, letting it flow naturally and peacefully, which in turn has meant I have been able to peel back the many protective layers I’d built around myself and really connect with who I am as a person.
Through the last year, I have maintained sobriety throughout. I have also reached, and then maintained, recovery from a longstanding eating disorder. This is something I never thought would be possible before working with Clare, so I could not be more grateful for the work we are doing.”

“I started working with Clare when the world I knew had been flipped upside down. Clare helped me work through different phases of grieving a relationship. We began to explore the relationship I have with myself, which I had overlooked. The work we did together has helped me look at myself more truthfully and with more kindness.
Fast forward a few years and I don’t see Clare regularly anymore. Yet the techniques I have from working with her help me on a daily basis. This ‘toolkit’ may evolve over time. But for now it helps me feel stronger leaning into tricky situations or when I feel vulnerable. Clare’s approach is amazing. She is patient and professional but thoughtful and very real. I can’t thank Clare enough and would recommend her again and again.”

“I connected with Clare at a time when I felt totally lost. For years, I had been tirelessly searching for the answers to my suffering outside of myself. I had been through various emotional and traumatic experiences, yet I had never truly given myself the time and space to connect with any of it. Never really believing that my experiences were valid or big enough for therapy until my body started to cry out on physical level. After our first call I knew she was the one that was going to help me and I felt super connected to her work with energy. In the early stages we touched on emotions and negative beliefs that I wasn’t even aware was there, even though when we did they felt all too familiar. Over the months we have been working together, I have gained incredible and powerful insights that have not only shifted my perspectives but led me to releasing negative and unprocessed emotions. That have led me to feeling lighter, stronger and more myself than I have ever been. Helping me to quieten the mind and find a state a presence so that my body can speak its truth. Through the art of breathwork and her unique yet simple techniques, Clare will guide you on a transformative path back to your soul. Peeling away the layers that no longer serve you, so that you can step into your own power and rise to your natural self once again. I feel deeply grateful for how she has shown up and continues to show up for me. I am still on my journey but I look forward to working with Clare and myself more! “

“I never thought something as simple as breathing would help me so much with my anxiety. I do it everyday, all day, all the time. So how on earth could it make such a difference? And I was sceptical of those who’d touted its benefits and heaped praise upon it. But now, I understand. Deep, intentional, rhythmic, circular breathing is very different to the day-to-day version. In the stereotypical lying down of a therapy session, I learned to breathe. And it took months. But with it, I was finally able to fully connect to my body, which I am not certain I have ever done before. My body has been trying to tell me things for years, that I would angrily ignore until it forced me to listen through illness, injury, or such overwhelming emotions that it prompted a breakdown. What was so startling about the wave-like breathing was that it released the messages my body was carrying and I had to listen. In the safe space of the counselling session I felt able to do so. With the regular practice, the connection grew (and is continuing to grow) stronger. I am now able to listen to my body when it is trying to tell me things when they first appear, and although I might not be able to fully embrace them at the initial point, the simple acknowledgement makes a huge difference, and can often be enough on its own. For those that are too big for that moment, I wait until I feel safe and breathe, moving and feeling the sensations move through me.
I cannot even begin to describe what a difference this has made to me, but I shall try. I hold far less tension in my body than I used to, and I am better able to release it when it does appear (the fact that I am able to discern the tension now is miraculous). I don’t get as overwhelmed as easily now (not that it doesn’t happen at all, but far less often). And I can truly look after myself now. Physically and emotionally. And I am able to be kind to myself in a truly compassionate way. These profound changes within myself have a tremendous impact on my everyday life, and it comes from my learning to breathe.”

Even during our initial conversation, Clare encouraged me to look beyond this to what was underpinning the negative and limiting patterns of behaviour that I wanted to change. I was attracted to working with Clare because she talked about dealing with the root of the problem, rather than just continuing to treat symptoms.
I worked with Clare for over three years, and so much has changed in my life in that time. Clare helped me to see and let go of my outdated beliefs and storylines that had been influencing my thinking and behaviours. Many of these went back decades, or belonged to someone else, but they were holding me back from living my own life in the present. Because of the work I have done with Clare, I am no longer held back by this old “script”, particularly around relationships, my body and intimacy.
The work was often challenging, and at times I still felt stuck or doubtful. Clare’s approach allowed me to persevere and to have faith that things really could change for me, and they did. On the outside, there have been a lot of tangible changes in my day-to-day life. But there has also been a significant shift in my attitudes and outlook. I have learnt to let go of black and white thinking, and self-imposed limitations. I have awareness and an appreciation of my body, as well as my mind. And I have learnt to trust in myself and to have a voice, which I really did not think was possible. I am truly grateful to Clare for this, and that I was able to make this investment in myself. ”

“I started therapy with Clare a few years ago and would still be attending with her now, had it not been due to unforeseeable circumstances. I was recommended Clare by a friend as I needed to work through a few issues. These include struggling with healthy relationship after DV, dealing with the backlash of a traumatic childhood and then ensuring difficulties with food and relationships.
I had been through a few therapists before and had discontinued after a few sessions. I felt they were easy to manipulate, or to fool into my own way of thinking as a means to avoid confronting my own issues.
Clare is both empathetic and sharp. I could relax and not need to control the narrative as she was well aware of my mental and emotional state during the sessions. I did not need to waste time explaining my worries of presenting a false front or my imposter syndrome or anything else. She got me and she got it.
She has a fantastic ability to hold onto facts, knowing when to push and confront and how to tread the line between holding someone and challenging them.
I can honestly say that therapy with Clare has been life changing for me in a multitude of ways. ”

“have been working with Clare since January 2020. Initially I came to her because I wanted to leave my job but was highly anxious about whether or not I had the strength to step away, what would I do instead, and really struggling with confidence. Underneath that was what felt like a really scary mess of other things I both didn’t want to acknowledge and was desperate to escape: a dysfunctional relationship with my volatile parents, years and years of disordered eating, and a real terror of intimacy and the vulnerability required in a romantic relationship.
In the nearly 5 years since then, my relationship with my parents has healed in a way that has been such a relief and release for me and for them. I have moved out of London, set up my own business, met a wonderful partner and am now about to have a baby. If you had asked me 5 years ago if any of this were possible, I would have told you – not in any universe. And then I’d have cried uncontrollably. I am genuinely astonished and overwhelmed by the changes I have seen in my life, and I am so grateful to Clare for her rigour, wisdom, generosity and care. She has been patient with me and challenged me and supported me and helped me understand my own power. She has held me accountable, and encouraged me to hold myself accountable too. Through her sessions and her introduction to breathwork (something I was too frightened to even try to start with), I now feel able to challenge old beliefs when they do rear up, knowing that I am stronger and healthier – and so, so much happier – than I have ever been before. I could not recommend working with her more highly – thank you Clare for everything. ”

“Clare was my very first experience with therapy and I feel very lucky that I landed in such good hands. After years of wanting to start, I finally took the leap and could not recommend it enough. Clare was extremely patient with me as we built our relationship and knows just when to push you and when to sit back and support. As I grew to trust her, I felt more comfortable opening up and Clare helped me identify the things that were causing stress and anxiety in my life, whilst giving me practical tools to address them. She is very calm, non-judgmental and a steady presence that gives you the space to grow and explore. It has been a pleasure working with her and I have seen so much growth in myself as a result. ”
